This is my Cousin Jessicas's DD. The pictures were kind of harsh, so I softened them up with my fave actions from photoblast. The papers were a freebie from Ashley olsen for a crop challenge. the tag is from holly's sweet on you kit. the stitching by katie pertiete at designerdigitals. flower border was a freebie from the 3rd Gina miller sketch challenge, the doodle is from DDE, and the inked edge action on the heart is from atomic cupcake. And of course this is a straight scraplift from a layout by Mandakay of her DD Selah. I've been wanting to do this layout since I saw it in the gallery but didn't have any pictures to go with it. I love all these designers and was happy to use so many little things to put this together :)

  Yes , ok, so it's been about a week and a half now since I've posted anything. But before you jump down my back for being so negligent....heres what been going on...
  
  
  
  
• First of all....we have been having the most extream problems with ants! They have invaded our home, and I do mean invade. First it was a small trail in the kitchen. A problem we stupidly thought could be remedied by any traps...HA! then they attacked the front porch. so we called the land lord and he brought out some spray stuff. Ok problem solved. The next evening, while enjoying our nice clean house, tyler walks into the kitchen and says "look daddy ants!" OMGsh!!!!!!!!!!!! they attacked a new area of the kitchen and had migrated in a line (not kidding) 3 inched wide, to the middle of the kitchen

Next big thing was buying a car. But with My thrifty bargain hunter (who's a naval mechanic and there for can save money by doing it himself *can you see my eyes rolling*), Nothing is ever as simple as just buying a car. No, after two weeks of hunting ebay, newspapers, autotrader.com, cars.com, idiotsclickhere.com...He finally found "THE CAR" a 95 toytota 4runner. problem...it's 3 hours away. So we pack some food, put tyler in thew car and head out towards 29 palms california....for those who don't know.......the freakin desert! So first problem , we need gas, and nobody is letting us over to get it. fianlly we get off the road and find a realitively cheap gas station (becuase he can't just buy gas, he has to search every gas station for a mile and find the cheapest one) drinks, bathroom trip, snack for tyler and we're off again. Tyler falls asleep in like no time. 10 minutes later, i see CHP in our mirror. Are you kidding me?! So 30 mins and one ticket later (don't ask, we'll be able to beat this one lol) we're back on the road. and of course because the chp officer took sooooooo looong tyler is awake and there's no chance of him going back to sleep, so all we hear for the next hour is "look daddy train" but over and over and over and over. Thank Goodness for wind turbines becuase at least it's not a train. we get the sellers home and spend an hour going over the car. buy it and head back out. what do you think happens....TRAFFIC. Not really a surprise becuase we'd seen it backed up abuot 50 miles, and oh ya, did i mention it was a HOLIDAY! So of course we're stuck behinde ever RV in southern CA. But at least Tyler is sleeping this time. Home, bath, bed....life is good again.

Tuesay comes and John has his MRI. Yup, he needs surgery. And even better...as if our life isn't cram packed enough...he'll probobly have it around the same time I have the baby, so um ya. don't know what im going to do with a recovering daddy, myself recovering, a toddler and a newborn. Anybody wanna help!?

Dr appt Wednesday says that Baby is doing great. She made the DR laugh pretty good as she kept punching the heart doppler. I've been warned that I have a rebellious baby...But I have to feel her squirming and kicking everyday, so I know all to well about my daughter's attitude. 6 weeks or less to go? alright!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend has been spent cleaning, laundry, potty training, and getting John ready to take his first class exam this week. I have been sooooo tired latley. It must be the calm before the storm. A few Practice contractions here and there that have caught me off gaurd a bit. And horray!!!!!!!! it just started raining! I love rain...better go make syre my windows are up!

Today is my brother's 20th birthday!!

Hope you all had a great valentines day! I know everybody had great sales yesterday, and yes I was excited, and I went and looked...and looked...and looked...and somehow, (yes I saw a million things I wanted) I just could not commit to anything I wanted. Does that make me a Scrapping failure? I guess I just figure...I need the space on my hard drive (especially since I share with john), and I really ought to just wait until I need it. I mean it will be there when I need it, and Besides, I like to buy kits for pictures...not take pictures for kits. Loading up on kits, for me, is like buying the shoes before you have the outfit to go with (not that I haven't ever done that) Its nto that they don't fit your personality, it's just that you may never end up having anything to go with it, and by the time you do it;s out of style anyway and something new and better is out and hence a waste of money. Hope that makes scense.

Well, yesterday was valentines day. now john and I have never spent a valentines day together. In fact, this was our 3rd valentines day as a couple, and the first we've actually spent under the same roof! in 2004 he was underway (out to sea for a week), in 2005 he was still tieing up loose ends in hawaii before transfering out to CA, and I was already here. So really I wasn't expecting anything. I got a nice phone call at lunch time, not anything mushy, just a "hi honey hows your day going" kind of thing but still nice.

then bad things started to happen. John has decided to go for custody of his 2 yr old son, since his mom isn't really able to care for him and give him the stability he needs. papers were filed and fed-ex-d to her (3000 miles away) last week. well Apparently they wern't able to track her down to serve her last week...'cause she got served yesterday. Of all days, to get served with custody papers (or any court paper for that matter) on V-day is just harsh (even for her). Needless to say nasty phone messages were recieved, needlessly ruthless comments were made (on here part) that I was sure would ruin our Valentines. But, he remaind surprisingly calm and collected and stood his ground.

On the way home from work he called and told me to "freshen up" 'cause we were going out. REALLY!!!! So I squeezed into my favorite maternity drees-up shirt and a cute (long) denim skirt. the boys got home right when i was doing ym make up, and Tyler jumped up on the counter and watched intently as i put on eyeshadow and mascara. "Whatcha doooin" seems to be his new favorite phrase. We went to Black Angus, which (without a reservation becuase why would I expect him to make one right?)was an hour and a half wait. luckly for my sanity Chuckee cheese is next door so I bummed a $5 off John and took tyler over to play for awhile. perfect timing becuase as i was dragging him out, our table was ready. We all enjoyed a graet meal, and I even let Tyler have a virgin starwberry daquiri (so he wouldn't drink all mine, which was virgin to...he likes thw whip cream lol).

got home at 8pm, Flew over to lisa's to grab Johns V-Day gift ( a dvd of our 3D Ultrasound which he hadn't seen yet) got back at 9pm, and Tylers not in bed yet! WHAAAATT! BED TIME IS 8PM. So, against his ear peircing shrieks I ran the bath water, popped him in, washed his hair, popped him out, diaper, jammies, tv off, bed ...boom! 7 minutes from bath to lights out...My own personal best and a new record if I do say so myself.

Well I'd better go, this post has been long enough, and I have a good bushle of laundry to fold. So I leave you with a picture...this was my v-day gift. A hersheys pot of gold box of chocolates. thing is...He bought it last friday, and forgot to take it out fo the bag before I put the groceries away...opps lol. so i stashed it in the fridge and (you'll be so proud) didn't open it until this morning when the baby and I smapled one of each lol...ya ya I knwo but its only once a year!

Rip my invite

ok so I have been trying to come up with the perfect baby shower invitaion. something thats not too traditional, something funny or humorous. well...that didn't work out too well. Now, for the last couple weeks or so i've been having that annoying RLS (Restless leg syndrome) in my legs when it's time to go to bed, and haven't been able to fall asleep, so last night was muggy hot and I fianlly got out of bed and dragged the fan into our room, set the speed on 2 (of three) and proceeded to fall asleep with hopes that the cool air would counter act the creepy crawly feeling in my leggs. I must have been asleep, i mean actually out, for about 45 mins when John rolls over and decides hes going to hold me, which you know i love, but once he woke me up, i just couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up, took a chug or two of milk (hey ...I know what you thinking but you gotta look at it this way..we kiss, and im carrying his baby, so I think i've got enough of his germs in me know that I shouldn't have to worry about things like drinking milk out of the jug ok!)had a bite of the Hersheys twosome heath bar i've been hiding in the freezer behind inside the waffle box, and hopped on the computer...just browsing really, when I came across the most perfect, ney, FABULOUS kit ...Da-da -daaaaaaaaaaaa!

Its ok ...rip it apart, but you really ought to see what I came up with in the first place..HA! Maybe i'll do a photo collage or something so you can see lol. I ran across som incredibly funny blogs today. like this one By Shannon and just so you know, i am completly blogger ingnorant, so if this comes out wrong i'm sorry, I still have way too much to learn on this thing. Also if there is anybody who can teach me how to make my own header I will seriously drive to your house and massage your feet for 3 hours!! OK I guess thats it for now...thanks for takin a peek, and leave comment so I can tell that someone out there may actually be interested lol if not oh well...i guess blogging clientel takes time eh?

Curious

Today is the NFL Pro bowl, so I took Tyler to see Curious George at the theater so John could watch it in peace. I was a little nervous about taking a 2 year old (another month until he's three) to the theater but figure that there would be a lot of annoying little kids there anyway so why not? He actually was very well behaved, especially for him. He made his gummy candy last through the movie and actually shared which is good since he's usually so possessive. Though lately he's been showing a lot more signs of maturity. Today he actually made #2 in the potty!!!! Hurray! We've been trying for that for months!!!!...(and just now he had an accident agggg!)

then, as we're calling grandmas to let them know that tyler did his potty thing, John informs me that his mom is upset about the baby shower...What?! We just found out this week that baby may be a couple weeks early, and decided to have my baby shower on the 11th of march instead of the 25th, which is when we think she may make her debut, I hadn't told anybody yet, infact still working on the invitations, and he goes and tells his mom that I want to have it with all my friends because that's the only they can get off...Umm no! You know, sometimes I think my DF is such an a@#! he doesn't know what hes talking about and made it sound like I never intended to tell her what date it was or even to invite her, which is so not true! In fact I really wanted her to meet my dad since they are the only 2 living grandparents that the baby will have, but it's just not going to work out that way.

A shout out to my brother Drew who did an awesome job in mock trial this year and even received an outstanding award for it! My other brother will be turning 20 this coming week which just blows me away.and of course Valentines day.
other than that This is the start of my 32nd week of pregnancy so one week closer to being FINISHED!!!!!! (IM so tired/bored/irritated/ect. With being pregnant...) anyway I guess that's it. Hope you all had a great Sunday.

So fresh and so clean

This is a complete blog makeover. I have decided to change the way I do things around here, and now that IM stuck at home waiting for this baby, I have ample time to blog. I should too. Most of my family uses the internet, and pretty much all of my friends do, so instead of feeling bad because I forgot to send an email or update about something, they can just check in here and get the scoop. Besides that I know there must be at least one person out there who can commiserate with me...I hope LOL.
